MCP defends Vice President Khumbo Kachali against dirty DPP smearing campaign in the Cash Gate Scandal

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has retracted the call the party made in Parliament for the Vice President to resign saying they based their demand on unfounded allegations.
Speaking to the media after presenting the MCP’S reaction to the statement Kachali made in parliament, MCP chief whip, Vitus Dzoole Mwale said the party retracted the statement after verifying that Rt Hon Khumbo Kachali is not one of the directors of Crossmarketing, a firm
some quarters are saying Kachali owns.
And rising on a point of order in parliament , Kachali also denied being the proprietor of Crossmarketing before mention the names of the directors of the firm.
” Us MCP leaders are also concerned with the amount of lies being smeared around against Vice President Khumbo Kachali and other government officials , this is unwelcome and it shows there is a lot of gutter journalism around.” Said the legislator.
